In addition, laparoscopy is increasingly important as a treatment modality. No longer is laparoscopy used only to treat minimal and mild disease; advanced disease can be treated safely and effectively.(1) The laparoscopic approach to the treatment of endometriosis has many advantages over laparotomy. The decrease in morbidity and cost is established.(2) Additionally, laparoscopy may decrease the incidence of de novo adhesion formation when compared to laparotomy.(3)\nPreview\nUnable to display preview.
