This current study aimed to manage endometriosis by repurposing simvastatin into self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery system. RP-HPLC method was developed and validated for simvastatin followed by solubility study in oils, surfactants, and co-surfactants. The vehicles showing the highest solubility for simvastatin were used for creating pseudo-ternary phase diagram to obtain the concentration range for a stable emulsion. Formulation optimization was done systemically by formulation by design approach (FbD) which includes the Ishikawa fishbone diagram as one of the initial risk assessment parameters.\n-\nKeywords\n- Self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery system, Simvastatin, Endometriosis, Ishikawa fishbone diagram\n-\nResearch areas\n- Pharmacy and Pharmacology\n-\nReferences\n-\n- Jing YS, Ma YF, Pan FB, Li MS, Zheng YG, Wu LF, Zhang DS.
