It is estimated that 30% to 40% of women with infertility have endometriosis1. Dysmenorrhoea, dyspareunia, back and rectal pain are common complaints in women with endometriosis2. The relationship of endometriosis to pelvic pain and infertility is clearly evident, with disease resulting in extensive scarring and fixation of the adnexa, or with extensive distortion of ovarian anatomy by endometriomas. Infertility may occur when endometriosis on the ovarian capsule interferes with the ovulatory process and ovum pick-up.\nPreview\nUnable to display preview.
