{"paper_id":"d17651e5-f085-4cc8-a5d4-3bf15ab590a1","body_text":"Abstract\nEndometriosis is generally defined as a progressive disease that may be locally invasive and tends to recur after treatment. Based on this concept, definitive surgery was considered for years as the only logical treatment option. However, various studies, particularly that of Meigs published in 1953, demonstrated a low recurrence rate after conservative surgery.1 This finding suggested that recurrence might not be inevitable and raised the question of which conservative procedures were most appropriate.\nPreview\nUnable to display preview.
