This review systematically examines emerging biomaterials—such as hydrogels, nanoparticles, and polymers—and their transformative role in drug delivery, tissue repair, and regenerative medicine for conditions like breast cancer, endometriosis, and pregnancy-related disorders. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar using defined MeSH terms and Boolean operators, covering studies published between 2000 and 2024. The novelty of this review lies in its integrated perspective on biomaterials and their application in women’s health, highlighting advances in smart drug delivery systems and regenerative strategies for female reproductive organs. Key insights include improved therapeutic precision, minimally invasive approaches, and enhanced biocompatibility of biomaterials. Additionally, the review explores policy initiatives and persistent challenges such as gender bias in research and limited access to cutting-edge treatments. Finally, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with biomaterials is discussed as an emerging approach to optimize design, personalize therapies, and improve clinical outcomes, signaling a new era of women-focused healthcare innovation.\nGraphical Abstract\nSimilar content being viewed by others\nData Availability\nAll data and materials supporting this review are included within the manuscript; no additional datasets were generated or analysed.\nReferences\nMauvais-Jarvis F, et al.
