There is an increased use of laparoscopic-assisted procedures, although there is debate concerning long-term fertility with this approach. The therapy of rectal endometriosis is individually tailored depending upon the patient and the progression of lesions, with surgical treatment requiring a combined multidisciplinary approach for complications such as obstruction, bleeding, perforation, or, rarely, neoplastic transformation. Operative tips for challenging cases are provided.\nAccess this chapter\nTax calculation will be finalised at checkout\nPurchases are for personal use only\nSimilar content being viewed by others\nReferences\nGray L.
