The complex interplay between the endometriosis subtype, pain, inflammation, altered pelvic anatomy, adhesions, impaired ovarian reserve/function, disrupted endometrial receptivity, along with the systemic effects of the disease, all contribute to infertility associated with endometriosis. Endometriosis is a chronic condition characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterine cavity, which follows the hormonal cycles occurring in women. This pathology affects up to 10% of women of reproductive age and is one of the primary causes of infertility.
