We tested ‘Attachment-Diathesis Model of Chronic Pain’ in a sample of Turkish women with endometriosis by analyzing the paths among attachment styles, pain catastrophizing, coping strategies, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Attachment anxiety was related to using less problem-focused coping and seeking more social support, while attachment avoidance was associated with seeking less social support as a coping strategy. Moreover, attachment anxiety and higher pain catastrophizing were related to a worse HRQoL. Finally, problem-focused coping strategy mediated the relation between attachment anxiety and HRQoL, meaning that by employing less problem-focused coping strategies, anxiously attached women experienced a poorer HRQoL. In light of our findings, psychologists may develop intervention techniques that question attachment patterns, pain perception, and coping strategies in clients diagnosed with endometriosis.\nURI\nhttps://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?partnerID=HzOxMe3b&scp=85148526515&origin=inward\nhttps://hdl.handle.net/11511/102709\nJournal\nHealth Care for Women International\nDOI\nhttps://doi.org/10.1080/07399332.2023.2177295\nCollections\nDepartment of Psychology, Article\nSuggestions\nOpenMETU\nCore\nHRonBC: a web-tool tailored for analysis of transcriptomics and nucleome data for Hormone Replacement on Breast Cancer\nVural Özdeniz , Merve; Acar, Rana; Çalışır , Kübra; Leka , Ronaldo; Özden Yılmaz , Gülden; Eray , Aleyna; Erkek Özhan , Serap (Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Enformatik Enstitüsü; 2022-10)\nHormone replacement (HR) therapy with estrogen (E2) alone or in combination with progesterone is used by women to compansate for the lack of these hormones during menopause. Despite the fact that HR has beneficial effects, long-term menopausal HR use has been associated with a higher risk of breast cancer. Drospirenone (Drsp), a fourth generation progestin derived from Spironolactone, is used together with estrogen (E2) and provides symptomatic relief in menopause. Drsp is also known to antagonize the Miner...\nBiomechanical and histological outcome of combined raloxifene-estrogen therapy on skeletal and reproductive tissues\nTasci, Arzu; BİLGİLİ, HASAN; Altunay, Hikmet; Gecit, Mehmet Rusen; Keskin, Dilek (Elsevier BV, 2010-02-10)\nEstrogen replacement is a potent therapy for postmenopausal osteoporosis. However, its carcinogenic effects on breasts and the uterus limit its utilization. Raloxifene has estrogen-like effects on bones without the carcinogenic symptoms on breast or uterine tissue. Their individual effects are well characterized, but the results of their interaction remains elusive. In this work, we investigate the consequences of a combined raloxifene/estrogen therapy on bone and uterus with experimental osteoporosis. 40 W...\nGenetic aspects of human male infertility: the frequency of chromosomal abnormalities and Y chromosome microdeletions in severe male factor infertility\nVicdan, A; Vicdan, K; Gunalp, S; Kence, Aykut; Akarsu, C; Isik, AZ; Sozen, E (Elsevier BV, 2004-11-10)\nObjective: The main purpose of this, study is to detect the frequency and type of both chromosomal abnormalities and Y chromosome microdeletions in patients with severe male factor infertility and fertile control subjects. The association between the genetic abnormality and clinical parameters was also evaluated. Methods: This study was carried out in 208 infertile and 20 fertile men. Results of 208 patients, 1 19 had non-obstructive azoospermia and 89 had severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (OAT). Maternal serum angiogenic markers, such as soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 and placental growth factor, can be used to triage women with suspected preeclampsia. However, data about these markers in pregnant women with chronic hypertension are scarce. Objective: We aimed to evaluate the predictive accuracy of maternal serum levels of soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1, placental growth factor, an...\nGynocare update: Modern strategies to improve diagnosis and treatment of rare gynecologic tumors—current challenges and future directions\nDi Fiore, Riccardo; et. al. (2021-01-01)\nMore than 50% of all gynecologic tumors can be classified as rare (defined as an incidence of ≤6 per 100,000 women) and usually have a poor prognosis owing to delayed diagnosis and treatment. In contrast to almost all other common solid tumors, the treatment of rare gynecologic tumors (RGT) is often based on retrospective studies, expert opinion, or extrapolation from other tumor sites with similar histology, leading to difficulty in developing guidelines for clinical practice. Currently, gynecologic cancer...\nCitation Formats\nIEEE\nACM\nAPA\nCHICAGO\nMLA\nBibTeX\nİ. B. Güvenç and Ö.
