We used\nthe Fertility Problem Inventory, the Endometriosis Health\nProfile and the Beck Depression Inventory.\nResults. We first realized a descriptive analyses\nof patients’ health related quality of life - 60% of women\nreported higher infertility distress associated with relationship\nissues caused by difficulties to conceive. The descriptive\nanalysis over the quality of life in patients with endometriosis\nsuggests that the high level of stress related factors, are: the\nloss over the control of the symptoms, dyspareunia and\naltered emotional status. Regarding the sexual aspect of life,\nalmost a quarter of the women complained about an altered\nsexual status, due to both fear of failing in conceiving and\ndyspareunia caused by the endometriosis. The descriptive\nanalysis over the infertility related stress suggests that the\nfactors associated with a high level of stress are: sadness,\npessimism, feeling of failure, irritability, lack of confidence,\nself-hatred and fatigue.\nConclusions. Patients with endometriosis are\ndealing daily with a large spectrum of symptoms, including\npain, dyspareunia, emotional instability and high levels of\nstress, which have a negative impact upon the quality of life,\nby lowering it on different levels.
