Recto sigmoidoscopy was performed, with no particular findings.Complementary radial recto sigmoid endoscopic ultra sound revealed invasion of the anterior sigmoid wall, extending from 15 to 23cm from the anal margin, from a focus of pelvic endometriosis, involving the sigmoid muscularis, and respecting the mucosa, internalsphincter, external sphinter and muscularis of the other segments of the rectum. The patient was referred back to gynecology for further management.- Ultrasound rectal endoscopy is useful for diagnosing colorectal endometriosis, with a VPN of 97.7%, and is now part of thepreoperative work-up.\nPublication History\nArticle published online:\n27 March 2025\n© 2025.
