In women referred for assisted reproductive technologies (ART), endometriosis may negatively influence several stages of the reproductive process, including folliculogenesis, oocyte competence, embryo development, endometrial receptivity and implantation.[5] The reproductive consequences are particularly relevant in advanced-stage disease and in the presence of ovarian endometriomas, which may be accompanied by a reduction in ovarian reserve and a lower oocyte yield during controlled ovarian stimulation. The management of endometriosis-associated infertility before in vitro fertilization (IVF) remains controversial.\n|","source_license":"CC0","license_restricted":false}
