Afeta mulheres em idade reprodutiva, marjoritariamente associada à dor pélvica e infertilidade. Devido ao caráter pró-inflamatório da doença, a alimentação é considerada um fator de risco modificável e exerce um papel fundamental na sua expressão. Sendo assim, objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar a influência da alimentação e dos aspectos nutricionais na endometriose, buscando identificar alimentos e nutrientes que podem impactar tanto na sintomatologia e evolução da doença. O estudo se trata de revisão bibliográfica, baseada em artigos científicos coletados em bases de dados como PubMed e SciELO, abrangendo os últimos 10 anos, com exceção de estudos fundamentais anteriores. Os resultados coletados indicam alimentos ricos em nutrientes antioxidantes e anti-inflamatórios, como ácidos graxos, vitaminas A, C, D e E, e minerais como magnésio e zinco, são apontados como aliados no controle dos sintomas. Em contrapartida, o consumo elevado de alguns alimentos como, carne vermelha, especialmente processada, e gorduras trans insaturadas podem aumentar o risco da doença devido à sua relação com o estresse oxidativo. A discussão destaca a necessidade de intervenções nutricionais individualizadas como parte do tratamento da endometriose, ressaltando que uma dieta adequada pode reduzir os níveis de inflamação, aliviar os sintomas e melhorar a qualidade de vida das portadoras de endometriose. Portanto, reforça-se a importância de mais estudos sobre a relação entre alimentação e endometriose, dada a complexidade da doença e a variabilidade de seus fatores etiológicos.\nReferências\n- ABRAO, M.
