TVS recordings (n=143) were performed at baseline (BL), day 6-10 of ovarian stimulation (OS) and day of embryo transfer (ET) by operator A, and then repeated by operator A, B or C). Image data were stored offline for optical flow analysis using 3D Slicer software (Ver. 4.11, slicer.org). Pixel-level displacements for points at the endometrial-myometrial junction (EMJ) were used to compute peristalsis frequency and amplitude by fitting to the 2D-wave equation. Fit error was taken as a measure of wave coordination. Inter-class correlation coefficient (ICC) was calculated to assess inter- and intra-observer agreement.\nResults: Women with adenomyosis had a significantly higher fit error at all timepoints during the IVF cycle (BL (+ 0.725, p<0.001), OS (+ 0.612, p = 0.004), ET (+ 0.627, p<0.001), indicating lower uterine peristalsis coordination compared to women with a normal uterus. Inter- and intra-observer agreement for each wave feature (frequency, amplitude and coordination of uterine peristalsis and myometrial contractility) was found to be moderate to good (intra-observer ICC 0.62-0.75, inter-observer ICC 0.58-0.79).\nConclusion: The proposed approach for wave motion quantification offers an objective\nand reproducible measuring tool to quantify uterine peristalsis using TVS, with potential for wide application across assisted conception and gynaecology settings.\nFiles\nA_B_amp.txt\nFiles\n(13.8 kB)\n| Name | Size | Download all |\n|---|---|---|\n|\nmd5:e82a559087b7a84d398b3e7b66ee87ee\n|\n675 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:3ab6f72ee178a09b8e9b75aa9c9a800e\n|\n675 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:fbffa14921eccf5b8da8d2f7abaf876e\n|\n675 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:2e9700185ee259ab1af8b49dda624c82\n|\n675 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:0e0ce500b63fc42bb03ce0f0536be7cd\n|\n375 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:4a8ba70f3b0a9798f70780b3bdbf432c\n|\n375 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:20632a9e8596083a6dc19085e735c3df\n|\n375 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:2e2ad83918a3cdb67a9926d5fb4db4b6\n|\n375 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:1f663e455ca5f82a6c58e0a06e04e5c3\n|\n400 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:ae82fb9f04ed9700d0ad0a4af6ac22e9\n|\n400 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:dd2538bcd100396a7036c86129d5a0c1\n|\n400 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:68f1fdb133d96aa52604d71886c2e549\n|\n400 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:b3d9f867207a96e8f4f2a8b621a7b827\n|\n525 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:0ffc177384658eaded6813853769c010\n|\n525 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:acfd79d80b772d57e656575206442284\n|\n525 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:d1bdd31409ec91ccdf3c5e69191b4d0d\n|\n525 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:9805a1e19cd19ddac03db5a6e67b732b\n|\n475 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:76d9f1eceb3fa1cdba88cdb60c28bd6d\n|\n475 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:2eb5634f8248099bfe60f021c5e764b1\n|\n475 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:7ccfc3c88e3f2ac914238047565e0c53\n|\n475 Bytes | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:7b6f7b063b1e62b983a7892a9bd3e63d\n|\n1.0 kB | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:b63a6e2313001667cd59a11a0fa6e94a\n|\n1.0 kB | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:f41eacaee107346d9772f24e411519f8\n|\n1.0 kB | Preview Download |\n|\nmd5:ed2f14074b8f04f34f8883f065069088\n|\n1.0 kB | Preview Download |","source_license":"CC0","license_restricted":false}
