Since the original description by Meyer in 1909 only about 250 cases of recto-sigmoidial localization have been reported. Only 45 of these were exclusively rectal. This localization represents only 2% of the total endometrioses diagnosed, which according to Counseller should be 25% of the cases.\nSimilar content being viewed by others\nAuthor information\nAuthors and Affiliations\nEditor information\nEditors and Affiliations\nRights and permissions\nCopyright information\n© 1969 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg\nAbout this paper\nCite this paper\nGarrigues, J.M., Alquier, Y.
