The test should be reproducible and have low costs. In addition patients would prefer a non-invasive and painless test. By means of this test it should be possible to achieve the first diagnosis of endometriosis as well as a measure of the success of a medicinal therapy of endometriosis. This would also be very important for the monitoring of clinical studies with new drugs. In this review article the most promising studies on single or combined tests on blood and urine samples are presented and the sensitivity and specificity are compared.\nSimilar content being viewed by others\nLiteratur\nVelebil P, Wingo PA, Xia Z et al (1995) Rate of hospitalization for gynecologic disorders among reproductive-age women in the United States.
