A contrast MRI of the abdo-\nmen revealed pathological thickening of 1.5 cm in the middle \nsegment of the rectum and chocolate cysts on both ovaries, and \nthe patient was referred for colonoscopic evaluation with sus -\npicion of infiltrative endometriosis or colon neoplasm. An up -\nper endoscopy and colonoscopy were performed. An actively \nbleeding mass in sigmoid colon, partially restricting the lumen \nbut allowing for the passage of the video colonoscope, was ob-\nserved (Figure 1A,1B: Sigmoid lesion). Biopsy specimens from \nthe sigmoidal mass showed features consistent with endome -\ntriosis. A diagnosis of endometriosis was made. The patient un-\nderwent surgical intervention by sigmoid colon resection, hys -\nterectomy, and bilateral oophorectomy.
