Hernández\npublication.page.editor\npublication.page.department\nDOI\nitem.page.type\ninfo:eu-repo/semantics/article\nDescription\nAbstract\nMüllerianosis is a term used to indicate\nlesions composed of an admixture of two or three types\nof müllerian-derivation glands in heterotopic sites. In\nthis report we describe a case of spinal cord\nmüllerianosis which occurred in a 42-year-old woman.\nThe patient had suffered from catamenial lumbago and\nsciatica of three years duration before undergoing\nlaminectomy of L2-L3 with excision of a polypoid mass\nthat compressed nerve trunks.\nAt histological examination, the lesion was\ncomposed of endocervical, endometrial and tubal glands\nwithin a smooth muscle nodule. These features were\nconsistent with a diagnosis of müllerianosis.\nThis is a very uncommon form of presentation of\nmüllerianosis that must be correctly identified since\npatients can benefit from hormonal therapy.\npublication.page.subject\nCitation\nitem.page.embargo\nIr a Estadísticas\nSin licencia Creative Commons.","source_license":"CC0","license_restricted":false}
