Appropriate sets of well-regarded statistical genetic approaches were utilised in the analysis of world-leading genetic data. Findings confirm a comorbid association between endometriosis and each of asthma, depression, and migraine, largely due to shared genetics and biological mechanisms. Causality assessment suggests a potential causal relationship between endometriosis and depression. Further analyses implicate causal links between each of endometriosis and depression and at least one abnormal condition of gastric mucosa—gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux disease.\nImpact and interest:\nCitation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.\nThese databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.\nCitations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.\nFull-text downloads:\nFull-text downloads displays the total number of times this work’s files (e.g., a PDF) have been downloaded from QUT ePrints as well as the number of downloads in the previous 365 days. The count includes downloads for all files if a work has more than one.\n| ID Code: | 212039 |\n|---|---|\n| Item Type: | QUT Thesis (PhD by Publication) |\n| Supervisor: | Nyholt, Dale & Griffiths, Lyn |\n| Keywords: | Endometriosis, Comorbidity, Genetics, Asthma, Depression, Migraine, Causality, GWAS, Genetic overlap, Cross-disoder analysis |\n| DOI: | 10.5204/thesis.eprints.212039 |\n| Divisions: | Current > QUT Faculties and Divisions > Faculty of Health Current > Schools > School of Biomedical Sciences |\n| Institution: | Queensland University of Technology |\n| Deposited On: | 25 Aug 2021 10:35 |\n| Last Modified: | 24 Jan 2025 00:44 |\nExport: EndNote | Dublin Core | BibTeX\nRepository Staff Only: item control page","source_license":"CC0","license_restricted":false}
