The device consists of a trenching and soil removal unit, a membrane-lifting soil removal unit, and a \"U\"-shaped frame. Through theoretical calculations and mechanical analysis, the range values of key structural parameters—entry angle, rebate angle, and height difference—affecting its operational performance were determined. An EDEM simulation model for the edge membrane lifting device was established, and single-factor simulation experiments were conducted to narrow down the range of key parameters. Based on the results of the single-factor experiments, a second-order regression orthogonal rotational combination simulation experiment was conducted, using the entry angle, rebate angle, and height difference as experimental factors, and the soil removal rate and lift height as experimental indicators. Regression models for each experimental indicator and experimental factor were established, and the optimal structural parameter combination was determined. The experimental results show that the best operational performance occurs when the machine forward speed is 5.4 km/h, the entry angle is 33°, the rebate angle is 48°, and the height difference is 134 mm. At this point, the soil removal rate is 94.6%, and the lift height is 68.5 mm. To verify the performance of the optimized edge membrane lifting device, field experiments were conducted. The average soil removal rate was 92.38%, and the average lift height was 66.8 mm, which are in good agreement with the simulation theoretical values. The edge membrane recovery rate was 94.82%, which effectively increased the recovery rate of the edge membrane. recovery during residual film recovery, a modular edge membrane soil removal device was designed. The device consists of a trenching and soil removal unit, a membrane-lifting soil removal unit, and a \\\"U\\\"-shaped frame. Through theoretical calculations and mechanical analysis, the range values of key structural parameters\\u0026mdash;entry angle, rebate angle, and height difference\\u0026mdash;affecting its operational performance were determined. An EDEM simulation model for the edge membrane lifting device was established, and single-factor simulation experiments were conducted to narrow down the range of key parameters. Based on the results of the single-factor experiments, a second-order regression orthogonal rotational combination simulation experiment was conducted, using the entry angle, rebate angle, and height difference as experimental factors, and the soil removal rate and lift height as experimental indicators. Regression models for each experimental indicator and experimental factor were established, and the optimal structural parameter combination was determined. The experimental results show that the best operational performance occurs when the machine forward speed is 5.4 km/h, the entry angle is 33\\u0026deg;, the rebate angle is 48\\u0026deg;, and the height difference is 134 mm. At this point, the soil removal rate is 94.6%, and the lift height is 68.5 mm. To verify the performance of the optimized edge membrane lifting device, field experiments were conducted.
